St. Vincent and Grenadines

The Family

The original building was once our Mum’s childhood haven. Since then our father has built the apartments that now sit on top of a much loved and used family home. We are incredibly proud of our Mum and Dad. Like so many, they left the Caribbean for what they thought would be for a short while, now, in their leisure years they are making preparations for that final trip that will take them back home.

We are a close family (there are 4 children and many grand children as well as extended family and friends) that plan to go on trips often. We were raised to embrace St Vincent and one by one we have all come to adore it in different ways. Some of us love it for its landscape, others for the sun, sea, and sand, the rest for its unique culture and vibe. Below are a few shots from the family album and others. We hope you come to know and enjoy St Vincent as much as we do. It’s a very special place full of un-spoilt natural beauty.

    Like Daughter, Like Father.

We’ve had many trips as a family and each time we go, there are new discoveries to be made. On this trip our Dad and one of his two daughters discovered an old mill used in the production of Arrowroot in days gone by.

  Coast to Coast
In this view from a nearby local hotel you can see the short distance to the Exclusive resort of Young Island. A popular venue for many tourists, be warned you do have to ring ahead to say you’d like to visit, the phone is located on the pier at Villa Beach. It is also used as an occasional music venue and worth at least one visit on the quaint ferry cabs (usually free) from the pier.

Young, hip and exclusive
One of the best ways to see the island’s unique landscape is by boat. You can take one of the many organized trips from the town, where you will also find a well-equipped tourist board or if you are feeling really adventurous there are local fishing boats that offer mini tours from villa beach. Some members of the family have been brave enough to experience these trips and what an adventure they were!.

    Local Bar
If you have your back to the bar, the photo above is view. You can also get a sense of how the locals do things by checking out one of the many bars in the area. Vinci’s are friendly and approachable. Villa really does have it all and is ideally placed for all manner of bars, restaurants and leisure activities if you know where to find them.
